Whatever culture we come from, we get the message very early in life that certain parts of the body and their functions should not be discussed at the dinner table or on short acquaintance. This is a particular problem when it comes to Bowel problems or colorectal problems such that many people are far more reluctant to seek professional help for their symptoms in comparison to headaches or shoulder pain

Unfortunately, this is even grimmer for females in our culture. At the very least, a specialist consultation from a female surgeon can make is more customary for them. This thought drawn me more into this field. Over the year working in UK I realized this is not an impediment or personal reservation in Pakistan but females of every cultural background would prefer the same.

I am a General and Colorectal surgeon with a holistic approach to the treatment of such problems who can offer a unique blend of open and laparoscopic surgery. My job satisfaction comes from happiness of patients when they leave the clinic or hospital after surgery. My work experience comes from Pakistan and UK which has enriched my knowledge and skills to benefit our patients.
